Extreme Makeover Home Edition ~ Urban Family ~ stacy richardson photography & stevie T photography

I am so excited to be able to share some of the behind the scene images of the Urban Family build from ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition. Steve T and I were honored to be asked to do another build with Extreme Makeover Home Edition back in July.

Berks County Home Builders Association partnered with ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition to build Trisha and Cora Urban a new home.  This is an amazing story of one woman’s strength in times of trial.

Trisha and Andy met in college while both working an internship at a youth group home. Andy was the youth counselor and Trisha was the cook. It didn’t take long for them to realize that they were meant to be together, and they soon married. The young couple were expecting their first child and in the process of turning their five-acre plot of land into their idyllic and beautiful dream home. On February 4, 2009, everything changed. Andy died suddenly of a heart attack while Trisha was in labor. She found Andy, who was born with a congenital heart defect, lying dead in the snow at their front gate. Trisha refuses to let Andy’s death be in vain. Since his passing, she has raised thousands of dollars for the American Heart Association. In addition, she has taken on a second job as a hospice nurse, using her real life experience to help families cope during their difficult time. (taken from tvgrapevine)

If you missed this episode you can find it here on ABC’s website.

It was again an honor to be on set with designers Ty PenningtonPaul DiMeo, Leann Touhy (the mother to Michael Orr from the Blide Side), and Tracy Hudson. I must also mention the amazing behind the scene designers who do an incredible job, special thanks to Veronica, Lisa Marie, Heather, Alex, Tony and countless others who all work incredible hard to make sure this family has an amazing home to come home to. You guys are the BEST!

Thanks for allowing us to be part of such and amazing team of people. We love you all!

Special Thanks to PRODPI for donating all of the printing for the show. What an amazing lab!
