This past July, Stevie T Photography and I were honored to photograph the young woman of Boys Hope Girls Hope in Baltimore for ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition. Girls Hope is an organization that supports at risk teen girls from inner city Baltimore. Excel Homes teamed up with Extreme Makeover Home Edition to give these girls an incredible place to call home.
It was a blast to be on set with designers Ty Pennington, Paul DiMeo, Jillian Harris, Michael Maloney and xzibit. Guest stars from Modern Family were also on set as they “took over” the makeover for the Girls Hope Home.
The experience was out of this world, watching a house go up in such a short amount of time and to watch a community of people to come together for such an amazing cause. The team of people that it takes to execute a project like this is amazing. I was completely blown away by the people who work incredibly hard behind the scenes, and all the countless volunteers that donate their time
and energy to give back to their community.
It was an amazing project to be a part of and I am honored that they chose us to photograph these beautiful girls and to be able to watch our images decorate their new home. I would also like to extend a special thanks to Connie Groah for jumping in at the last minute to do some high key composite photos of the girls.
