Homewood House Museum l John Hopkins University l Bridal Portraits

I had an amazing time today with Katherine, her Dad and the hostess at the Homewood House Museum.  I am so sad that her mom was sick and unable to share in the joy of  the occasion which is why I am working extra hard to get these pictures up tonight so she can see them today. What a beautiful day it turned out to be.  This was a special occasion for Katherine, you see her great grandfather lived in this house before it was a museum and has helped to preserve the history in the museum.  Katherine changed into her dress in the quarters where her great grandfather lived.  This house and John Hopkins University has been close to their entire family for generations. Here is a portion of an article written about her grandmother (whose has since passed away). Article taken from The JHU Gazette.

“A staunch supporter of culture and history, Nan Pinkard had a particular fondness for Johns Hopkins’ two historical treasures, Homewood and Evergreen museums. Homewood was especially dear to her, as the Federal period home was restored to its original early 19th-century grandeur and reopened as a museum through the generosity of her father, who had lived there as a graduate student.”

The necklace Katherine was wearing was a pendant she received from her grandmother.  It was a complete honor to be able to photograph Katherine throughout the museum.  Hope you like the sneek peek of a few favorites.
