Vendor Highlights

I am excited to announce a new series I will be doing over the next few weeks until wedding season kicks into high gear.  I will have the latest and greatest happenings in the Wedding Industry right here on my blog.  Over the past three years, I have gotten to know several top notch vendors in the area.  I have gotten to know several wedding planners, florists, designers, djs, videographers, bakers, musicians,  invitation specialists and many other people whose talents and gifts have added to the wedding day experience.  For the month of April, each week I will be highlighting some of my favorite vendors in the Annapolis/Baltimore area.

To kick off my vendor highlights, I did an interview with Sarah from Intrigue Design and Decor. I wanted to start off with this review because this is a service that I think is so valuable to any wedding day.  They specialize in lighting, fabric, lounges and floral design.  Essentially she will take your vision and make it come to life.  She has an amazing gift for decorating and she is ONE of a kind in the area. You have GOT to check her out if you haven’t already!

How did you get started in floral design and decor?
I had been doing event design work for years with Historic Events.

What has been the most exciting part of the job?
The most exciting part of my job is seeing a design come from words on a paper to extraordinary weddings.

What one piece of advice do you have for a bride looking to hire a designer for their wedding day?
When looking for a designer for your wedding you want to find someone who can do more than just give you what you want.  You should be looking for someone who can take your ideas and expand on them to create a complete event. There is far more to an event than pretty flowers and a GREAT designer should be able to touch on each element of the wedding.
