Thankfully, I have survived this contest with minimal bruising…and I am excited to announce the winner…but first a HUGE round of applause to Heather for being a good sport and for still being my friend (i think she’s still my friend).
ANITA!!! You are correct, Heather is looking to see where the shadow is on her hand, to see what direction the sun is coming from. On a hazy, cloud covered day, out in a field, we have to resort to such “highly technical” instruments of light measurement…
SO..the moral of the story is… even if you see your fancy, highly skilled photographers doing strange things in the middle of a field…try to remember…we actually DO KNOW what we are doing, even though it may not look like we do
