Ok so I am not going to lie. This week has been a really hard week for us.  We have experienced a death, a raging fire through our old neighborhood, the emotions of sweet friends losing their house in the fire, as well as other friends right up the street whose house is still standing amidst the rubble. When I saw Grace painting this picture today it reminded me of the verse in John that says:

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God believe also in me.  My Fathers house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?

Last night I got to go to a friends studio and letter press stationary on her very amazing old school machine.  Cory said there was a distinguishing feature called “the kiss” which is referring to the amount of impression left on the card from the letters, which is significant in determining if the letter~presser really knows what they are doing. I can say from hands on experience this girl knows what she is doing.  I love my cards.

Today was Aunt Ma Jean’s funeral in Butler Alabama, she was Grandma Daisy’s only sister and it was sad to say goodbye but one that was filled with great hope that our treasures are in heaven.

It was a beautiful service with family.  For dinner we all went out to eat catfish on the Tombigbee river.  You will be missed.
