My girl looks extra grown up today.  I can’t decide if it is my bracelet or the pretty braid in her hair.

So I feel like my “picture of the day” needs a little explanation.  First of all I broke my own rule of only showing one picture, but the others photographs tell the story around why I choose the picture I did so…allow me.

So as you can see here.  My baby girl fell, and it was bad. 4 stairs and a concrete landing.  At first I did everything I knew how to do in comforting her.  I got her an ice cream sandwich to cool her fat lip (that was bleeding profusely) I put ice on her head, I sang songs and snuggled her. Then I went to look for more medicine in the many boxes we have around our house.  When I came back.  She started crying again.

Her sister Grace had her sitting on her lap trying to comfort her. I of course grabbed my camera since Grace OBVIOUSLY had thing under control.  I am so incredibly proud of my Grace and how she loved on her sister.  It was a moment I’ll never forget. I can see them 16 years from now, comforting  broken hearts instead of broken bones…

I love you Grace. You make your Mommy very proud.

PS When I asked Abigail how she fell down the stairs she said “I was trying to twirl like a ballerina” I said “on the stairs?” Love that girl…

Southwest is my favorite airline. The stewardess said over the loud speaker “ok folks were going to get it nice a dark in here by dimming the cabin lights so enjoy a nice quiet peaceful flight …close your eyes…unless of course you are sitting next to someone very scary looking.  In that case go ahead and turn your overhead light on.”

I flew to Annapolis to photograph this beautiful wedding at the Kent Manor Inn.

There’s just something about a daddy walking her little girl down the isle that makes me smile.
