staying up late to watch AFV
Award winning Birmingham and Annapolis based photographer
“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”
Psalm 139:14
This photograph was taken the moment after Avery Lynn was born at 12:08 a.m.
I picked this photograph because it shows the incredible friendship, marriage and bond of love that Heather and Steve have.
It was a complete honor to be present for such an amazing miracle.

Today was a BIG day for us.
We had a field trip to the Maryland Science Center in Baltimore and it was amazing. The kids had a blast, there were so many things they could do. Everything was hands on. Way cool.
It was also a big day because I LEFT MY CAMERA at HOME…
AND
…I did it on purpose.
I thought, I can either be the mom with big ole camera taking pictures or I can be the mom getting wet and dirty and exploring science with her…
I have one word.
FREEDOM
(I did of course take many iphone pictures…but they don’t really count…baby steps people…)

So we went to the library and got this cool book (or should I say, we went to the library to pay our late fines and happened to picked up this book on our way out).
It’s called How the Incredible Human Body works.
My GRACE says she want to be a scientist who studies the human body, open up to page 7 and she screams….”EWWWWW boogers”
I told her if she was going to study the human body she would need to get over the boogers.

These legs, theres just something about these little legs, I love everything about them, I love the little bruises because they remind me of how much she falls down but gets right back up.
I love the color of her boots because it reminds me of her vibrant personality…and I love the shorts…because it was warm enough to wear them.

“SAVE THE COCONUTS”
Tonight the Annapolis Women Photographers (a group I am in of 10 amazing photographers in the Annapolis area) hosted the photobooth at a major fundrasier for Breast Cancer.
It was a blast. Here is a picture I took of Stevie T while we were testing the lights. Our group has been meeting for 2 years and we have a blast together.
This fundraiser was very close to our hearts because one of our very own members was diagnosed with Breast Cancer this year.
She is recovering well and was actually there with us that night, to respect her privacy I won’t mention her name, but she’s an inspiration to us all.
